The U.S. military is moving forward with plans to keep a permanent, ready-to-fight arsenal on the southeast coast of Australia.

ISIS has claimed responsibility for killing two Syrian soldiers in the northern province of Aleppo, in a statement on the group’s Telegram channel.

The Syrian army has lost two soldiers in an attack in the city of Manbij in northeastern Aleppo, the country’s Defence Ministry reports on 20th June. ISIS claims responsibility for the second fatal attack in Syria within a week.

According to ISIS’s statements, on Tuesday, the terrorist organization claimed responsibility for attacking the police command headquarters of Raqqa, a city located in the northern parts of Syria. One militant killed, three others wounded in attack on Syrian Interior Ministry camp Monday.

The Interior Ministry reported that the two would-be suicide bombers attempted to gain access to the premises. One of the terrorists was shot dead by the security forces, and another one detonated his explosive vest.

In February, ISIS announced the launch of the next stage of its attacks against Syria’s President Ahmed al-Sharaa’s government. The same month saw ISIS’s terrorist attack resulting in the death of four Syrian security servicemen in Raqqa.

The government of Sharaa last year joined the U.S.-led coalition against ISIS.

Sharaa himself had fought with ISIS when he was head of the al Qaeda-backed Nusra Front in Syria’s civil war. He broke ties with al Qaeda in 2016.

ISIS once ruled about a quarter or more of Syria during the violent Syrian civil war 10 years ago, but was pushed out from the country by the U.S.-led coalition and others.
