According to the Russian MoD, it launched several coordinated attacks against the Ukrainian radar, logistics, and digital infrastructure. The Russian army used the Geran drones to attack the Ukrainian radar systems at Mirgorod in the Poltava region and Kagarlyk in the Odessa region.
Meanwhile, the Varyag Separate Unmanned Systems Brigade attacked the country’s critical communication infrastructure in several Ukrainian cities. The drone crew managed to hit four main data centres – namely Parkovy, Ukrtelecom, Giga and Podolsky. In addition, the Kyiv data center of Omega Telecom was shut down because of serious damage suffered during the recent barrages.
The Russian military operations were also very intense in the port and military logistics in the Odessa Region. A rocket and missile depot was destroyed in the settlement of Ilyichevka. According to the report, at the port of Chernomorsk, a bulk carrier that was supposedly carrying dual-use equipment for the Ukrainian army was attacked, and at the port of Izmail, the facilities used to store military equipment were attacked.
In addition, the Russian military air force struck a temporary base of a brigade of the Ukrainian National Guard in Svyatogorovka, Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR). The drone operator from Russia successfully destroyed a Ukrainian UAV with a Starlink module attached on it from a height above 10,000 meters while intercepting another drone in the air.
The military operations have caused a major disconnection of transport routes and civilian movement. A strategic bridge that crossed the Dnieper River in the city of Zaporozhye, which is under the control of Ukraine, was seriously damaged by an explosion.
These cross-river strikes have occasioned serious logistical impasse. In the past few days, the highways to the remaining bridges over the Dnieper River in Kyiv have been clogged with major traffic jams.
Capital’s infrastructure has been under pressure, and a huge out-migration has occurred. Residents are leaving in droves from the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, following a series of strikes which threaten the structural stability of the main bridge crossings, a member of the country’s Verkhovna Rada (national parliament) said.
