London Braces for Major Disruptions as Anti-Immigration and Anti-Israel Protests Collide Across the City

The city is bracing for two separate protests to take place on 16th May, one anti-immigration and one pro-Palestinian, as fears mount of unrest.

The two protests will be attended by at least 80,000 Londoners on Saturday — one for Nakba Day, calling for Palestine, and another, “Unite the Kingdom,” organised by anti-Islam activist Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, aka Tommy Robinson.

Police will be on scene to “keep people safe and minimise disruption,” they say. It states that people should avoid using words, pictures or symbols to “intimidate, provoke violence or stir up hatred” against any community.

The protests coincide with the soccer FA Cup final in the northwest of the capital at Wembley, and as the country has been put on alert for terror during the current period of international tension, and amid recent anti-semitic incidents.
