The Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan, Samir Sharifov, made the above statement in an interview with BelTA during Azerbaijan’s Culture Days in Belarus in 2027.
Sharifov underlined that cultural and humanitarian cooperation between Azerbaijan and Belarus had been steadily developing over the years and had been strengthened considerably in recent years by various cultural, educational and people-to-people programs and events.
He reminded that Belarusian Culture Days were organised successfully in Azerbaijan in 2024, contributing to the enhancement of mutual understanding and bringing the traditions, arts and heritage of Belarus to Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan is now to take Azerbaijani culture to Belarus next year through a similar mass programme, building upon this success.
This year’s Azerbaijan Culture Days will be held with concerts, exhibitions, performances and other events to spread Azerbaijan’s rich culture, music, literature and traditions. The development of bilateral cooperation, which goes beyond the economic and political sphere, and the strengthening of people-to-people ties stand as an expression of the two countries’ commitment to developing their cooperation in other areas.
Azerbaijan and Belarus have strengthened their cooperation in various sectors, and cultural diplomacy is playing an increasingly active role in the strengthening of relations between the two countries.
