The third edition of Tirta Gangga Art Festival will gather various artistic and cultural expressions from Bali, from Hindu and Balinese origins, as well as other faiths. 

The festival, being held from Sept. The period from 13-19, 2026, is filled with cultural and artistic events, such as mass dances, cultural parades and competitions.

According to Anak Agung Made Kosalya, the head of the Tirta Gangga management team, the festival was aimed at demonstrating the abundance of art and culture of different religions and cultures.

The event was also hoped to draw the attention of more visitors to Karangasem, he said, as it gave them a chance to learn more about the regency’s cultural heritage and its natural beauty.

Karangasem Regent I Gusti Putu Parwata, referred to as Gus Par, welcomed the festival and said events like the Tirta Gangga Art Festival could have an important role to play in the promotion of the regency as a tourist destination.

He also considered it a chance to improve the drawing power of Karangasem as a regency to potential investors as the tourism industry continues to develop.

The festival showcases the cultural diversity of Gumi Lahar, the traditional name of Karangasem, and also serves as a way for the local communities and artists to share and keep the cultural traditions alive.

The setting of the festival is Tirta Gangga, and organisers hope that the event can become a permanent cultural attraction and can help the development of tourism without destroying the cultural identity of the region.
