Precious Metals Rally: Gold and Silver Prices Surge on Global Markets

Recently, the precious metals market on the global financial markets saw a significant rise, continuing the trend that has been unfolding for quite some time of investors elevating the price of the traditional safe-haven assets. The recent trading data show that the spot price of gold had risen markedly, in line with the high and consistent level of market demand.

On the COMEX, one of the CME Group’s major markets, the price of one troy ounce of gold spiked $71.28 in recent trading sessions to $4,165. Situated in New York, this prominent trading hub remains a key measure of valuations for commodities around the world and is closely monitored by the Federal entities, such as the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission.

The yellow metal wasn’t the only one that showed impressive gains during the same trading period; silver also did. The price of silver increased by $1.47, bringing its new trading value to $61.47 per ounce. With both of these climbs, it’s clear there’s a general positive trend for precious metals trading on the major exchanges.
