The security forces have killed 10 militants in intelligence-based joint operations in the country’s southwest Balochistan province during the last 48 hours, the military said on 22nd July.
As part of the ongoing operations to fight militants, the operations were carried out in Surab and Mastung districts, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the military.
In Surab district, security forces shot and killed seven militants and in Mastung, they killed three militants, the ISPR said. In Mastung, 2 female suicide bombers and a facilitator were also picked up during the operation.
Weapons, ammunition and IEDs were recovered from the militants, the military said.
Sanitisation operations were ongoing in the affected areas to wipe out any remaining militants, the ISPR said.
