The next national protest is being organised by the Democratic Party today at 19:00, in the ‘Martyrs of the Nation’ boulevard, after it has informed the Tirana Police about the next protest.

To deal with the protest, the Police have pledged to mobilise over 1200 policemen, and asked the protest leaders to observe the set protest site and time.

A special plan of measures was drawn up to manage the protest, where, as of midnight on 7th May, traffic was restricted on several road segments, which will be inaccessible to vehicles until the end of the protest.

The parking ban and, in certain cases, the traffic restriction after 15:00 PM will be applied to the entire area around the Boulevard (on the whole perimeter), and citizens are asked to understand this restriction on vehicle movement.

Police ask protesters to move away if they are encountering illegal acts that could be against public order and safety.
