IRGC Launches Retaliatory Strikes on 85 US Military Facilities in Bahrain and Kuwait

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), the elite branch of Iran’s Armed Forces, has made a tremendous military attack on American forces announcement. The coordinated attack targeted 85 separate U.S. military facilities, reports said on July 8 in the Russian news agency TASS.

The swift movement was in response to recent attacks by the United States on Iranian sovereign territory. The offensive is also an “initial response” to the “aggression” of the Americans, the Iranian Revolutionary Guards’ (IRGC) statement said, possibly ahead of other military operations, Fars news agency quoted.

The naval and aerospace forces of the IRGC have been involved in the retaliatory strikes in a joint operation. The naval and aerospace forces of the IRGC have launched the retaliatory strikes in a combined operation. The official statements said the facilities were assaulted with the help of a large number of advanced missiles and combat drones.

These shot projectiles were able to hit high-value targets of the Government of Bahrain and the State of Kuwait.

The main focus in Bahrain was on strategic installations at Salman Port, and on regional headquarters and operational areas of the United States Navy 5th Fleet.

Meanwhile in neighbouring Kuwait, the IRGC forces specifically targeted Ali Al Salem Air Base, a crucial logistics and operational base that is very much used by the United States Air Force and other regional coalition partners.
