Deadly Russian Missile Strike Hits Odesa, Causing Multiple Casualties and Structural Damage

Today around dawn, Russian troops unleashed a deadly missile attack on the southern Ukrainian city of Odesa. The intense bombing left several injuries and caused damage to a number of buildings at the local residential area.

The official announcement of the Odesa Regional Military Administration said the incident was tragic as it took the life of three people. Regional governments offered condolences to those who lost their lives and their families. The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has been closely following the devastating effects on civilian infrastructure.

Three other people were injured during the strike, in addition to the deaths. Immediately taken to the hospital for emergency treatment. Under the supervision of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine doctors have evaluated the current situation of the victims as moderate.

Escalating Threats and Previous Bombardments

The Armed Forces of Ukraine and its Air Force division issued an urgent warning of high-speed targets coming out of the Black Sea just minutes before impact. The military quickly determined that all these incoming missiles were on a direct course to hit Odesa.

This tragedy comes on the heels of recent escalation of aggression towards the coast. Meanwhile, on July 14th, at night, Russian forces attacked the city independently.

In the previous strike, critical infrastructure of the city was damaged, and the premises of the local business was looted, however, during this particular incident, there were no civilian casualties, reported the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
