Concerns raised during Indonesia protests in focus

You can also expect additional benefits, such as income tax cuts (PPh) for labour-intensive sectors. Isn’t it incredible? The PPh reduction has apparently already benefited 1.7 million people in the country.

“Then there are programs related to housing through the people’s business credit (KUR),” TEMPO quoted Minister Hartarto as saying. There is also a home renovation program that is going to be promoted, he added.

Indonesian authorities are also paying close attention to a number of economic concerns raised during recent demonstrations, such as the raging issue of layoffs. The country is focusing on efforts like pushing for policy deregulation in multiple industries.
