World Culture Film Festival 2025 Unites Cinema, Culture, and Consciousness in Los Angeles

A global celebration of cinema, unity, and conscious storytelling hosted by the Art of Living Foundation in Los Angeles.

The 2nd edition of the World Culture Film Festival (WCFF), held from June 26–29, 2025, in Los Angeles, brought together filmmakers, thought leaders, and global personalities in a cinematic celebration of unity, culture, and conscious storytelling. Launched in 2023 in Washington D.C., the festival is an initiative of the Art of Living Foundation, led by Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar.

Themed “True art entertains while awakening the best in humanity,” WCFF stood out by spotlighting films that inspire and uplift. Screenings included Oscar-nominated “Laapataa Ladies” by Kiran Rao and “The Performance” by Shira Piven, along with shorts like “Doori” and “Dream Door.” Sahil Rohira’s aerial photography exhibition added a visual layer to the immersive experience.

A highlight of the event was the panel “Parables on Screen – The Sacred Mission of Storytelling,” where Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and filmmaker Chet Lowe explored the transformative power of narratives in a divided world. “Storytelling has the ability to bridge worlds and build inner strength,” Gurudev shared during the session, reported News India Times.

The jury featured prominent Indian-origin figures such as Abhishek Sharma, Manasvi Mamgai, Sweta Rai, and Manish Shah. Celebrity attendees included Preity Zinta, Jeremy Piven, and Liza Koshy.

Jain Social Group Beverly Hills President Rajendra Vora, speaking to News India Times, expressed gratitude for the festival’s vision: “It gives hope, inspiration, and a renewed sense of purpose through film.”

The World Culture Film Festival continues to redefine cinematic celebration by championing stories of hope, humanity, and healing, creating not only a platform for global filmmakers, but a movement for cultural consciousness and inclusive storytelling in an increasingly fragmented world.
