Trichy Police Celebrate Police Day with Tributes and Community Events

On September 6, the Trichy district police observed Police Day. People remember this day to honor their fallen colleagues, show respect towards the community.

According to the Times of India report, Trichy City Police Commissioner N. Kamini and Superintendent of Police S. Selvanagarathinam led the commemorations in the city and rural areas. They paid floral tributes at the Armed Reserve Police Grounds memorial pillar, remembering personnel who lost their lives while on duty. Officers also took the Police Day pledge during the ceremony.

During this day, an exhibition was organised at the grounds. This exhibition showcased the police weapons, displayed police history, cybercrime, and women’s safety awareness. A number of school students visited the stalls and gained knowledge about the department’s work.

The city police also hosted cultural and interactive events across Trichy. According to the reports, Commissioner N. Kamini visited the Government Girls Higher Secondary School for the Visually Impaired. She joined the students for entertainment activities and encouraged them with motivational words.
