South Korea had placed a travel ban on Lebanese territories as it was raising security issues regarding the increasing conflict in the Middle East, and the foreign ministry announced it on 20th March.
The highest Level 4 of a four-tier travel warning system came into effect at 8 p.m. in the Governorate of Baalbek-Hermel, in West Beqaa and Rashaya districts in the Governorate of Beqaa, as per the ministry.
The ministry has already declared a Level 4 warning in the areas along the border with Israel, the South Governorate, Nabatieh Governorate and portions of Dahiyeh in Beirut.
The rest of the nation will stay on Level 3, which recommends that citizens vacate the location.
The law may punish individuals who travel or stay in places that are under a travel ban without any special permission.
This was accompanied by a Level 3 travel warning by the ministry on the Saudi Arabian city of Yanbu near the Red Sea.
