The Prime Minister of Thailand, Anutin Charnvirakul, has reported that the country is making a thunderous comeback to the world arena, having successfully attended global summits. Anutin made an announcement after the 47th Asean Summit in Kuala Lumpur and the 32nd Apec Summit in Gyeongju that Thailand is once again the focus of the world. He focused on expanding the market and marketing the Thai peculiarities.
The purpose of attending these international events was to create new opportunities for Thailand through the expression of the economy and culture of the country. Anutin emphasized the need to sell Thai products, such as agricultural products, and facilitate tourism. The PM was also keen on boosting the chances of Thai workers in other countries, and the international leaders responded positively.
The second move is to establish a working team to seek foreign investment and tourism in Thailand. Anutin emphasized the desire to make Thailand a food and digital hub on a global scale. He emphasized the essence of these actions to improve the position of the country in the global arena.
On the security issues, Anutin strengthened Thailand’s commitment to becoming a leader in combating transnational crime. This position was favorable to countries like China, the US, South Korea, and Australia, and they all showed interest in collaboration in this regard. This favorable response from these leading foreign players is a significant step, as reported by the Bangkok Post.
In perspective, the government should focus first, and the first thing it should do is to act on the proposals that were addressed at the summits so as to capitalise on the momentum. An emphasis will be given to how to translate summit agreements into action deliverables, which will appeal to international collaboration, investment, and tourist attraction to Thailand.
