The Police Force of Nottinghamshire arranged a heartfelt charity bike ride in July 2024 in order to honor their fallen colleague, Sergeant Graham Saville. The ultimate aim behind this 170-mile ride is to raise funds for the COPS (Care of Police Survivors) Charity which is a part of the East Midlands Chapter of the Police Unity Tour who exhibited the unity and profound love for their fellow human beings in their professional life.
As per the given information by the Nottingham Police website, the late Sgt.Graham Saville tragically died while he was attempting to save a troubled man who was found in the railway tracks in Balderton in August 2023. And to celebrate his honor and the bravery to serve & save his people from the external odds this special cycle ride has been carried out. In this three-day cycle ride event, more than forty cyclists took part graciously by wearing the collar number of Sgt.Saville highlighting the striking tribute to this wonderful officer. Also, the officers of the neighbouring forces such as Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Lincolnshire had also participated, with the wristband inscribed with the name of the fallen officer.
