Nepali Art and Handicrafts Take Center Stage at the Patan Craft and Culture Festival 2025

The 2025 Patan Craft and Culture Festival in Lalitpur likewise drew in art enthusiasts and fans of handicrafts. The Expo is a 7-week event that is organised in partnership with the Federation of Handicraft Associations of Nepal (FHAN), Lalitpur, and Patan Museum.The festival is focused on encouraging Nepali art, culture, and traditional handicrafts.

The festival is continuing until December 7 at Patan Durbar Square and the premises of Patan Museum. The festival has around 21 canopy stalls and 10 table stalls, serving Newari foods. 

 

Newari traditional jewellery and ethnic costumes worn in the ten rites of Buddhism have been displayed in the Handicraft Promotion Committee of Lalitpur. There is classical music, Charya dance, Ashtamatrika dance, Kartik dance, and Nepal Bhasa folk dances and songs accompanied by performances of Dha Baja and Damokhi Baje on a daily basis.
