Jiujiang Brings Mount Lushan, West Sea & Poyang Lake to Malaysian Spotlight

Jiujiang is a well-known city in China. This city is known for its rich culture and stunning landscapes. Recently, the city has been making headlines with a new tourism highlight with Malaysia through the “Jiujiang: The Essence of Chinese Landscapes”. This was a promotional event was held in Kuala Lumpur.

This event welcomed leaders from Jiujiang’s Culture and Tourism Bureau, Tourism Malaysia, the Malaysian Association of Chinese Tour Agents (MCTA), along with over 80 representatives from travel agencies, scenic spots, and media outlets.

Mr. Wang Jianxin, Director of Jiujiang Culture and Tourism Bureau, said the new China–Malaysia visa-free policy is making “go-now” travel a reality and warmly invited Malaysian friends to visit and invest in Jiujiang. Ms. Chen Meixin, Deputy President of MCTA, highlighted that the two destinations complement each other and the newly launched Kuala Lumpur–Nanchang direct flight will further boost tourism exchanges.

The showcase highlighted three of Jiujiang’s most famous attractions. The first one was Mount Lushan, which is a UNESCO World Cultural Landscape that is admired for its rich cultural heritage and stunning natural views. Lushan West Sea is known for its thousand islands, exciting water sports, and relaxing wellness retreats. Yongxiu and Poyang Lake complete the picture as a beautiful wetland paradise, home to migratory birds and a popular spot for eco-tourism.

During the event, a dedicated Jiujiang travel video for the Malaysian market premiered. This video offered visitors a glimpse of its rich cultural, natural, and ecological treasures.

PR news wire noted, MCTA signed an agreement with Jiangxi Yuanda International Travel, while Malaysia’s Iki Holiday partnered with China Travel Service Jiujiang. Mr. Ng Wei Chuan, General Manager of Iki Holiday. He said they will make full use of the direct flight to bring more Malaysians to Jiujiang and let them experience its poetic beauty.
