28th St. International Petersburg Economic Forum

The 28th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) was held in Russia and took place under the theme: “Shared Values: The Foundation of Growth in a Multipolar World.” Identified as one of the foremost business events in the world, this year’s Forum noted global participation and economic cooperation, innovation, and partnerships for the future.

SPIEF has taken place annually, beginning in 1997, and has been noted as being under the patronage of the President of the Russian Federation since 2006. SPIEF has developed into a global platform for business leaders, politicians, changemakers, investors, and innovators to convene to discuss the challenges and opportunities brought on by a changing global economy. SPIEF 2025 welcomed over 21,800 participants from 139 countries, both in person and online. The Forum’s active atmosphere allowed participants to network, share ideas, collaborate, and make deals across topics, industries, and regions.

This year’s Forum at SPIEF includes:

  • 1,073 agreements were signed with a total value of over 6.49 trillion rubles, signifying a great deal of confidence from investors.
  •  Well over 2,100 participants, from over 45 countries, attended sessions dedicated to the models for international cooperation among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and to defining pharmaceutical security.
  • The International Youth Economic Forum boasted over 4,500 young participants, demonstrating the importance of the role of youth in economic futures.

SPIEF is not just a dialogue venue, it is a truly an enabler for acting. Participants were able to discover new markets, and establish and expand their business connections with other businesses and build links with potential investors and global media. The SPIEF continues to bridge Russia with the world, creating mutually shared economic values and paths to growth.

During the 28th SPIEF, it continued to cement itself as leverage for true economic collaboration in a world where it is becoming increasingly important that we all share common values for moving forward positively for the sake of the world.
