Hezbollah Escalates Cross-Border Offensive, Strikes Israeli Barracks and Radar Sites

Hezbollah reported that it had attacked a set of Israeli military targets at the beginning of the day on 24th March, targeting the troop assembling areas, barracks and surveillance facilities in a frenetic offensive in the northern front.

The militant group reported that it had struck at dawn on the Liman barracks in northern Israel with drone attacks, and also launched rockets at Israeli troops in Kfar Kila at the Fatima Gate.

More strikes occurred on a radar facility off of Ma’alot- Tarshiha and positions of artillery in settlements such as Sasa and Ein HaKovshim, according to Hezbollah reports.

The assaults come after an increase in activities a day before, with Hezbollah announcing that it executed dozens of attacks with rockets and drones against Israeli positions and troops in the border area.

The Israeli military did not react immediately.

The northern front heats up

The interstate fire follows as Israel keeps its air attacks and land assaults in the south of Lebanon.

The fact that over 1,000 people have been killed and thousands of others wounded since the situation started to get worse highlights the increasing humanitarian cost.

The conflict is also a segment of a wider regional war evoked by the US-Israeli offensive against Iran, and several fronts are currently active in the Middle East.
