The country of Belgium is researching drone sightings at a military base on 1st November evening, as the defense minister of Belgium indicated.

Drones suspected to be flown by the group were observed over the Kleine-Brogel air force base, occupied by NATO, and flights had to be suspended temporarily for 20 minutes.

According to Defense Minister Theo Francken on X, there were three observations of drones of the larger type, which flew at high altitude. A drone jammer was deployed in vain, and the drone was hunted by police vehicles and a helicopter.

In the year 2027, the military base of Kleine-Brogel is expected to contain US F-35 military jets. NATO’s home country, Belgium, and the European Union headquarters have committed to a rise in defense spending. Its coalition government is made up of five parties and is currently in negotiations regarding the federal budget in 2026.
