Belarus to Host Tajikistan’s Vibrant Days of Culture Festival in 2026

In Belarus, it will be held in 2026, the Days of Culture of the Republic of Tajikistan, in the comments of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Tajikistan to the CIS, Bakhtovar Safarzoda, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Republic of Belarus.

The diplomatic mission leader underlined the fact that cultural and humanitarian collaboration between the two nations is still on the rise.

In November 2024, Days of Culture and Belarusian Cinema took place in Dushanbe. Plans are going on to host the Days of Culture of the Republic of Tajikistan in Belarus this year. The ambassador remarked that “it is very important that the Days be held during the year since the countries are celebrating the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations.”

Another important aspect that the parties are particularly attentive to is cooperation in the area of education and training of personnel, which leads to the additional enhancement and growth of bilateral relations. According to the head of the diplomatic mission, “cooperation in education is a significant aspect of humanitarian interaction, which creates a strong base for a long-term relationship, enhances mutual understanding, and educates a new generation of specialists oriented towards building Tajik-Belarusian relations.”

To his mind, one of the good examples of the progressive evolution of the interaction was the opening of the Centre of the Belarusian Language and Innovative Technologies at Tajik National University in September 2023. This centre is aimed at enhancing deeper language education, academic interactions and new education technologies. Notably, the heads of higher education institutions in the Republic of Tajikistan and Belarus have regular meetings and sign bilateral agreements and joint action plans that are oriented on the expansion of inter-university collaboration and the creation of research and academic mobility.

“I would especially like to point out that during these thirty years we have retained an outstanding sense of mutual understanding and provided our relations with a new quality that addresses the present-day challenges and development goals. I believe that the experience of positive interaction, gathered over the years, is a good basis to further enhance strategic cooperation to the advantage of the people of our countries,” said the Ambassador.
