The 2025 World Food & Music Festival in Des Moines celebrates global cultures with food, music, citizenship ceremonies, and family-friendly activities.
The 2025 World Food & Music Festival, presented by Veridian Credit Union, returns to Western Gateway Park, Downtown Des Moines, from August 22–24. With over 50 global food vendors, live music, and cultural programming, this festival is a true celebration of community, diversity, and global flavors.
This year’s Festival kicks off with a Naturalization Ceremony on Friday, where 50 individuals will become U.S. citizens. “Supporting this ceremony is a true honor,” said Amelia Klatt, Director of Events at the Greater Des Moines Partnership. “It reflects the very heart of what this festival is about, unity through diversity.”
Festivalgoers can enjoy headliner performances from Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (Friday) and Son Peruchos (Saturday), along with a lineup of live music on the Main Stage, sponsored by Prairie Meadows. “This is more than an event, it’s a way to connect communities through culture and food,” said Prairie Meadows’ Julie Stewart.
