A ship on the Red Sea caught fire after being attacked by Unknown Projectiles and there was no immediate claim of responsibility. The ‘Unknown Projectiles’ which were later suspected to be armed men firing guns and launching hand propelled grenades, some authorities said.
The ongoing high tension in the Middle East set alarm in this attack with no immediate claims of responsibility and the Israel-Hamas conflict that is backed by the huge American attack on the Iranian Nuclear Site only a few days prior.
Suspicion on the Houthi Rebels who had previously launched an attack in the Red Sea corridor grew. The situation seems to worsen as The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations center said that an armed security team on the unidentified vessel had returned fire.
The attacks were approximately spotted to be happening some 100 Kilometres south-west of Hodeida of Yemen, a part that is under the control of the Houthi Rebels. A private maritime security firm, Ambrey also issued an alert of a merchant ship under attack while later it was said that the attack was carried out by bomb-carrying drone boats, which could mark a major escalation in the region.
The Houthis of Yemen have released a **propaganda** video of their attack (and sinking) of the bulk carrier ship ‘Magic Seas’ on Sunday in the Red Sea.
It’s both very concerning and rather spectacular (they attached multiple explosives to her hull) #Houthis pic.twitter.com/96GzyvGR3h

The Houthi Rebels have been launching missile attacks on the commercial and military ships in the Red Sea region, an action noted by the group’s leader to put an end to Israel’s attack on the Gaza Strip. They also acknowledged the attack through the group’s al-Masirah satellite news channel, but didn’t add any further comment.
