The multinational “Eternal Brotherhood-5” military exercise was a success for Pakistan’s Special Forces, along with Special Forces from the Ministries of Defence of Türkiye, Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan. The entire training was held from September 13 to 25, 2022 in Uzbekistan.
The high-level joint exercises emphasized the use of current operational procedures and high-level combat skills. The realistic training scenarios offered invaluable opportunities for the troops to learn from and share their critical experiences from operations, and to share the most up to date best practices in the industry.
The Ministry of Defence of Kazakhstan as an official observer country was an active participant of the event, adding a wider regional context to the military engagement.
The “Eternal Brotherhood-5” initiative highlights the positive developments in defense and security cooperation among the states participating in the project. The significance of these multinational exercises lies in the ability to enhance the coordination of the armies and establish good communication channels.
The troops were able to gain a greater insight into the operational practices of their counterparts with the help of very coordinated practical cooperation. This encounter greatly enhances the military-to-military contacts and mutually beneficial trust between the allied armed forces.
Thus, the exercise can be considered a joint initiative taking place in the light of the increasing number of safety initiatives undertaken in Central Asia and beyond. Even now, these exercises are important for the coordination of military actions and gaining important information.
