President Donald Trump threatened to strike Iran with more force at any moment, during a press conference at The White House on Wednesday.

Trump said the U.S. had been able to pulverize newly restored radar and missile systems throughout the Strait of Hormuz. The operation was a “very heavy attack,” he said, that the U.S. didn’t only destroy the radar installations.

Though threatened to take further action, the president said he didn’t think this new military offensive will be a long one.

The most recent clash over military exchanges took place last Sunday, when U.S. Central Command troops in the Middle East downed two rocket launchers from Iran’s Larak Island. The preemptive attack comes after the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) forces were spotted preparing to fire shots into the Strait of Hormuz.

The president says Iran was trying to make a rocket to lay sea mines in the key international waterway, which is a priority for U.S. naval surveillance. He said that American troops took out all the newly built offensive and defensive equipment.

In reference to Tehran’s rearmament, Trump revealed that America had “very extensive surveillance” of Iran’s military.In regards to Tehran’s rearmament, Trump said outright that Iranian military forces “can’t go to the bathroom without us seeing it.

After the first Sunday attack, Iran’s retaliation was an attempt to strike American troops attached to the U.S. Department of Defense, sparking the second set of strikes on Monday. These combatant personnel were on active service within the territory of the Government of Jordan.

Trump made a clear threat to any Iranian response. If Tehran hits back with more attacks, they will be “totally wiped out as a country,” he told Fox News correspondent Trey Yingst.

The president rejected any thoughts of a peace negotiation when asked about potential avenues for peace. He said he has already shown Tehran plenty of opportunities and that any deal with the Iranian regime “isn’t worth the paper it’s written on.
