The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Belarus announced the official opening of a joint military exercise between the armed forces of Belarus and China called “Swift Eagle 2026.
The next drills will be conducted just with air forces of both countries. The bilateral drills will be conducted in the People’s Republic of China (PRC) from August 11 to August 24 in the central province of Hubei.
The main purpose of the Swift Eagle 2026 event is to strengthen the cooperation in the areas of security and operational readiness. The forces involved in the drills will be involved in various intensive, realistic counterterrorism exercises, according to the military officials in Belarus.
The airborne units will be practicing critical battlefield tactics together in the two weeks of training. These scenarios will feature reconnaissance, aggressive attacks and occupation of strategic positions, deep area-clearing and sound organisation of fortified defensive lines.
