U.S. Military Neutralizes Senior ISIS Commander in Syria

A senior member of the Islamic State (ISIS) has been killed in a U.S. military strike in Syria, the U.S. Department of Defense has acknowledged. The attack was targeted and precise and was on the northwestern part of the country last week.

According to a public statement released on Wednesday via X, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) forces carried out the strike on June 19. As a result of the strategic operation, Ali Hussein al-Oulaywi was killed, who was identified as a high-ranking official in the terrorist organization.

Ongoing Efforts to Protect National Security

This successful mission is part of a comprehensive effort by the U.S. Government to systematically break up terrorist networks around the world. The operation is targeted at people who are actively trying to incite violence against Americans, officials said.

U.S. military officials say it and its allies, international forces, are still intent on thwarting overseas terrorism. The raid against al-Oulaywi was aimed at disrupting its capacity to stage major attacks, U.S. officials said.

In the end, this newest strike is a reminder of the continued dedication of the military and the Department of Homeland Security to defend American people overseas, and permanently defend U.S. territory from all future threats.
