The Israeli military on 8th May evening targeted Tal al-Ahmar al-Sharqi in the southern countryside of the Quneitra province, using over eight bombs, local sources told.
These sources reported on the shelling of open spaces and the vicinity of previous military sites near Tal al-Ahmar al-Sharqi. The explosions were heard clearly in neighbouring villages and towns, which placed Syria on an alert among its people as Israeli warplanes intensively bombed the border area.
No casualties have been reported in connection with the bombardment, and it is too early to know the extent of the material damage.
Israeli military operations in southern Syria, which are continuing, are supplemented by regular bombardment of Quneitra and Daraa governorates.
