According to AzerNEWS, the Israeli military claims to have targeted a site that it claims was important with regard to Tehran’s plans to develop a nuclear weapon when it launched attacks against Iran in recent days.

It reported in a posting on X that Israeli warplanes had hit the Taleghan facility, a facility at the Parchin military complex approximately 30km (19 miles) southeast of Tehran, which it claimed was being used by Iran “to develop critical capabilities in the nuclear weapon development program.”

In October 2024, the site was again the target of Israeli attacks. The Israeli army alleged that Iran had started refurbishing the location.

Iran, on the other hand, has time and again denied its nuclear weapons ambitions, stating that its nuclear program is only meant to have peaceful uses.
