The events of Ugandan culture within the Global Harmony initiative ended on 10th December in the Al-Suwaidi Park, which is one of the zones of the Riyadh Season.
The two-day-long event was organized by the Ministry of Media, collaborating with the general entertainment authority, and received visitors of various nationalities, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
Visitors got to experience the culture and arts of Ugandans through musical performances, traditional shows, and entertainment programs of Ugandan artists and influencers.
Singing folk groups were played in different regions of Uganda, which made this country emphasize its heritage through songs and chants.
The SPA added that participating pavilions were presenting traditional clothes, handicrafts, and local food, which supports diversity in Ugandan culture.
The way the Ugandan residents were proud to see their culture represented in Riyadh and presented to the world goes to support the fact that the city of Riyadh is becoming an increasingly international cultural center.
They observed that the events provided them with a possibility to present their heritage and reinforce it within different communities.
The Global Harmony event this year promoted 14 world cultures, which represented various communities in the Kingdom. Ethiopia (Dec. 11-13) and Sudan (Dec. 14-20) are the events that follow the Uganda culture.
