North Korea Rejects G7’s Denuclearisation Demand, Says KCNA

On Friday (Nov 14), North Korea’s foreign minister Choe Son Hui rejected the joint statement issued by G7 countries, state media KCNA said, denouncing their demand for the total denuclearisation of North Korea.

According to a statement issued on Wednesday, following a meeting of foreign ministers in Canada, the G7 nations condemned the nuclear weapons development programme of the North Korean state, and reiterated their commitment to the complete denuclearisation of the state.

Describing the statement as a disguised hostile act, Choe said,  “Such a demand was disregarding the constitution of North Korea.”

In a current bleak geopolitical world, Choe was quoted as saying that the best decision is to have nukes so as to prevent the most dangerous and hostile states.
