Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Deputy Prime Minister and Chief of Staff of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan Galymzhan Koishybayev exchanged views on consolidating trade and economic cooperation between the two nations, Trend reports through the Turkmen MFA.
At the meeting, President Berdimuhamedov warmly greeted the Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan and sent his warm wishes to President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. He pointed out that Turkmenistan places special value on the development of a partnership with Kazakhstan, stating that bilateral ties keep growing in the political, diplomatic, trade, economic, and cultural areas.
The two sides underscored that the link between trade and economic synergy is a key factor in the Turkmen-Kazakh bilateral dimension. Promising areas for cooperation include digital development, infrastructure development, innovation ecosystems, sustainable economic models, and environmental stewardship.
Effort was strategically concentrated on the development of cultural and humanitarian connections. In this regard, the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Kazakh Commission on Economic, Scientific, Technical, and Cultural Cooperation became a key platform for the promotion of cooperative efforts and the implementation of bilateral agreements.
According to the aforementioned, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan agreed to cooperate in combating cross-border crime.
