US officials part of European plan to send 10,000 troops to Ukraine?

It has been reported that top US military officials are part of the preparation of a plan for “security guarantees” for Ukraine supported by France and the UK. This plan includes an elaborate deployment of troops to Ukraine.

The media report in question cited a European diplomat holding a great deal of information about the situation. This plan is primarily being prepared by European army chiefs, according to a report by RT.

The scheme includes a couple of armed forces to be deployed to Ukraine. One of the groups is going to be part of training and assistance to the Ukrainian military. The other one is like a “reassurance force” for Ukraine.

Russia opposes all kinds of NATO troop deployment to Ukraine

It has been reported that the giant troop deployment is going to happen once Russia and Ukraine reach a peace agreement. The brutal fighting in Ukraine has been raging on since February 2022, killing tens of thousands of soldiers and the general public.

26 countries agreed to contribute to “security guarantees” for Ukraine, according to French President Emmanuel Macron. The current commitments are going to facilitate the deployment of more than 10,000 troops to Ukraine, it has been reported.

So far, the amount of US involvement in this scheme is unclear. There are no clear statements from President Donald Trump. Nonetheless, Russia has expressed strong opposition to any NATO troop deployment to neighbouring Ukraine.
