Back in June 2025, Iran and Israel engaged in a brutal conflict. It all started on June 13 as Iran launched a large-scale attack on Iranian targets, killing at least 1,064 people, including military commanders and nuclear scientists.
Under the leadership of President Donald Trump, the US subsequently carried out airstrikes on multiple Iranian nuclear facilities. Multiple media agencies across the globe reported on this incident in great detail.
Iran responded and its retaliatory operations targeted both Israeli and US interests. The conflict came to a halt by June 24. But recent reports suggest that Iran’s armed forces are currently better prepared than before.
Iran’s military “more prepared” than before
Major General Ali Abdollahi, commander of Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, recently noted that the country’s military is currently “more prepared” than before the 12-day fighting against Israel and the US.
Reassuring the public, the top commander emphasized that Iran’s military is ready to safeguard the country’s sovereignty and national security. Abdollahi has been appointed to his present role after the assassination of Major General Gholam Ali Rashid and his successor.
Both of these top commanders got assassinated in Israeli strikes on Iranian territory in June 2025. The Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters operates as the unified command of Iran’s military, helping co-ordinate joint operations across all branches of the armed forces.
