Charity Match To Honour Little Hendrix, a 2-Year Old Boy from Devon!

A special charity football match is scheduled to take place in memory of the late Hendrix Washbrook who is a two year old boy from Devon passed away in 2022 due to a rare heart condition named ‘Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome’. To commemorate his son’s death and to aid the other families who are encountering such heartbreaking incidents like losing their children due to terrific diseases, the parents of Hendrix, James and Lauren have launched the charity “Marching on With Hendrix” post his death.

 

The scheduled match was held between the Marching on With Hendrix FC and Forever Green Legends. And this game didn’t only reflect the brimming elements of sports but also the celebration of humanity, love, empathy and a meaningful initiative. The tickets for this match have been fixed as £10 – Adults, £2 – Children, and £20 – Families. So, all the money that is collected from this game is handed over completely to the humanitarian cause of their charity which is helping other grieving parents for diverse purposes which includes the emotional support. 


As noted by the One News, this match has received a massive and an overwhelming response from both the players and the local community. The crowd who gathered at the Vx3 Stadium in Newton Abbot resonated their love, care, and cheers for this child Hendrix and the other grieving parents for a new hope through the sport. The total number of people who turned out to this event is recorded as eight hundred, proving this an event of solidarity more than just a game of win or lose.
